Imaan Networking is a network for professional Muslim women in London. We deliver welcoming, socialising opportunities, dinner, theatre, art, and holidaying all set within a comfortable, modest, single gender atmosphere. These are events that will fill the void that most Muslim professional women feel when not able to fully socialise with their colleagues because of the realms of what is accepted within a secular society.
This invitation is universal, regardless of the level of faith or understanding, fully practising or not, all this is of no consequence. We promote the all inclusive and non judgemental nature of Islam and therefore invite all professionals (lawyers, accountants, consultants, doctors, investment bankers, health care individuals, business owners etc), single, married, separated or divorced, to partake in these events. The networking events will present opportunities to meet individuals from varied origins, backgrounds and professions. Inshallah (God willing) this will then allow each member to learn about others, look deeply into oneself as well as in parallel, make new friends, share experiences, ideas, discuss issues both political and personal, gain advice and above all proceed in life knowing that yours is not an isolated existence.
Imaan Networking will promote our members as role models in the community and encourage the full integration of its members within society as a whole. We recognise that there are a huge number of very talented, highly respected and inspiring individuals who work hard in their daily lives but are also willing to offer their own time and expertise to those who are in need within our communities. The offer of assistance and guidance can be delivered in many forms for example mentoring school children, helping the aged, volunteering for community projects as well as assisting small businesses advice and consultancy.
We are an individual group that welcomes opportunities to work with other groups from within the Islamic faith but also across other faiths or groups that are looking to forward and promote the betterment, fairness and peace in our society. We would also like to hear from you if you feel that we could assist your community projects or social programmes.
The only rule…
… is that you approach this with a pure intention and an open mind, by doing so you may be surprised at what a positive impact you can make to your own life as well as all those you come in contact with Inshallah (God willing).

Uzma Sattar, the founding member is a management consultant in London, she was looking for ways to network with similar professional Muslim women who shared her journey. When she found this difficult, she founded Imaan Networking in May 2009 and the group has grown hugely from its initial meeting of 10 women.
As it continues to develop, Imaan Networking will need other committee members, so click here if you're interested
